Recycling

Wright Township operates a recycling center for Mountain Top residents. It is located at the Township Municipal Building.
Wright Township accepts the following sorted materials for recycling: Glass, plastics #1 and #2, aluminum, metal cans, newspapers.
Hours of operation are: Saturdays 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wright Township accepts leaves for recycling at the Township building, for Wright Township residents only. Leaves may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Burning

Wright Township allows limited burning of leaves, wood, cardboard and paper. Materials to be burned must be in a barrel and covered with a screen. Burning must be at least 15 feet from any building, and at least 30 feet from any road and property line.
Burning is limited to the following hours:

Winter (Labor Day through Memorial Day): Wednesday and Saturday, 12 noon to 5 p.m.
Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Wednesday only, noon to 8 p.m.

Wright Township Recreation Park

Park facilities include: Tennis courts, volleyball nets, basketball courts, toddler and youth playground, fitness area, picnic pavilions, nature trail, shuffleboard courts, regulation and practice soccer fields, Little League baseball field, sledding area, disc golf, walking trail.

The Park hosts fireworks and a concert on July 3.

The 10-week summer recreation program includes: arts and crafts, games, tennis, softball, field hockey, soccer, baseball, volleyball, field trips and cheerleading. The 10-week program runs from June through August, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; check the Township or Mountain Peaks for exact dates, times and sessions.
